| These magnificent caves were originally open to the public in 1886 and were known locally as the, "Fairy Caves". Shortly after World War I, the caves became privately owned and their entrances were blocked with iron gates. They were re-opened for public tours this April! Currently there are two tours available. | |
| The Family Tour is about one hour long covering a distance of 1/3rd mile. This tour explores the original Fairy Caves and includes a visit to, "Exclamation Point", a cliff side balcony overlooking Glenwood Canyon. You will also see, "The Barn" (a five-story room in the cave) and, "King's Row" (an incredible row of stalagmites and stalactites). | |
| The Wild Tour is a more involved exploration. Each visitor is given a helmet and light for a three to four hour trip through the deepest regions of the caves. | |
